Below are step-by-step instructions for setting up your email account for 3 of the most popular email programs, If you have any problems or need any help please call Tech Support at 1-888-474-3678.

Creating an email account using Outlook Express 5 or higher (Windows 9x, ME, 2000, XP).

Open Outlook Express.
At the top, in the Menu Bar, click Tools and then click Accounts.
When the Internet Accounts window opens, click Add and then click Mail. This will open the Internet Connection Wizard to assist you in setting up the email account.
In the first screen, type Your Name in the Display Name field. Click Next.
Now type your email address (i.e. username@gsinternet.net) on this screen
(use all lower-case letters). Click Next. On this screen, leave the first box set to POP3. The Incoming Mail Server should be entered as "mail.gsinternet.net" (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). The Outgoing Mail Server should be entered as "smtp.gsinternet.net" (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). Click Next.
The email username appears in the Account Name box. Do not delete this.
On the same line, after this username, type "//gsinternet.net" (use lower-case letters, without any spaces, and omit the quotations). Now, in the Password box, type your password in all lower-case letters. Click Next. Now click the Finish button. The email account should now appear in the Internet Accounts window. If you do not see it, then click the Mail tab to display only email accounts. Now, click the name of the new account (it should be titled "mail.gsinternet.net") that you just created and then click the Set as Default button. Then click the Properties button. Now the account's Properties window should be open. Click the Servers tab at the top of this window. Look over the information and make sure that everything has been entered correctly. Click the checkbox at the bottom of this screen that says My server requires authentication, so that a checkmark appears. Click OK. Click Close at the Internet Accounts window. Your new email account has now been set up in Outlook Express.

Creating an email account using Netscape Communicator 4.7 or higher. (Windows 9x, ME, 2000, XP)

From the Windows desktop, click the Start button. Go to Programs (In Windows XP, go to All Programs); go to the Netscape Communicator folder; go to Utilities and click User Profile Manager. If you already have a Profile created that you would like to use, then click the Back button and click Start Communicator and then skip to Step #8. If you have never used Netscape Communicator, or you wish to create a new Profile, then click the New button and go on to Step #3 The Creating a New Profile screen simply tells you what a profile is. Click Next. Type Your Name in the Full Name box and type your email address (i.e.user@gsinternet.net) in the Email Address box. Click Next. Do not change anything on the Choose a Name and Directory screen. Click Next.

Type the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server as "smtp.gsinternet.net" (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). Click Next. The Mail server user name should be entered as "username//gsinternet.net " (substitute the username that you chose at signup and omit the quotations). The Incoming Mail Server should be entered as "mail.gsinternet.net" (omit the quotations). Leave the Mail Server Type as "POP3." Click Finish. Your new email account has now been set up in Netscape Communicator.


The following steps are for users who wish to use their current Netscape Profile and do not want to create a new one. First, open Netscape Communicator. Click the Edit button at the top of the browser window and click Preferences. The Preferences window will now open. From the list on the left side, click Mail Servers (if you do not see Mail Servers, then double-click Mail and Newsgroups and then you will see it). The right side of this window should now change to the Mail Servers preferences. Under the Incoming Mail Servers section, double-click the account that you would like to change. In the Mail Servers Properties box, change the Server Name to "mail.gsinternet.net " (omit the quotations). The Server Type should be "Pop3". The Username should be entered as "username//gsinternet.net " (substitute the username that you chose at signup and omit the quotations). Click OK. Type the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server as "smtp.gsinternet.net " (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). The Outgoing Mail Server Username should be entered as "username//gsinternet.net " (substitute the username that you chose at signup and omit the quotations). Click OK. Your new email account has now been configured.

Creating an email account using Eudora 5.1 (Windows 9x, ME, 2000, XP)

If this is the first time that you have used Eudora, then you should see the New Account Wizard onced the program is launched. Click Next. Choose Create a brand new email account and click Next. Type in Your Name and click Next. Type in Your Email Address and click Next. In the Login Name box, your login name should be entered as "username//gsinternet.net " (substitute the username that you chose at signup and omit the quotations). Click Next. The Incoming Server should be entered as "mail.gsinternet.net " (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). For the type of server that you will be using, choose POP. Click Next. The Outgoing Server should be entered as "smtp.gsinternet.net " (use lower-case letters and omit the quotations). The Allow Authentication checkbox should remain checked. Click Next. Click Finish. Your new email account has been successfully configured.
